5/5/2007 50th opening day ceremony at the Dom Aitro {New Haven} Pony (CT) League It was a sparkling bright sunny day on May 5th 2007, the 50th opening day ceremony at the Dom Aitro {New Haven} Pony (CT) League. The festivities included a short parade of teams and coaches. They walked down into the park, onto the field and lined up to be a part of the ceremony. Guest included Matt Salerno - PONY Region Director, Guy Stelmack - PONY Region Director, Bob Longmuir - PONY Section Director, Rod Vandusen - PONY District Director and former long time president of Dom Aitro { New Haven} Pony Mike Natalino. An award was presented to Mr. Vincent Aitro for his many years of service to the youth of New Haven. In his absence, former president Mike Natalino accepted the award on behalf of the family. PONY Section Director Bob Longmuir threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
