LoPiccolo’s connection to youth sports spanned more than 50 years, defined by his deep commitment to the PONY Baseball and Softball mission. He served with distinction as a member of the PONY Baseball and Softball International Board of Directors and as the East Zone North Region Baseball Division Director. His leadership, sportsmanship, and unwavering dedication made him a highly respected figure across the organization and throughout the New York baseball community.
Beyond his regional and international leadership, Frank was a pillar of his local sports community in Brooklyn, New York. He dedicated decades of service to the Our Lady of Grace Athletic Association in nearly every capacity imaginable, including coach, umpire, President, and Board Member. He also served as President of the Marine Park League, the Metropolitan Baseball League, and the Federation Baseball League.
To Frank, baseball was never just a game. It was an opportunity to teach character, build confidence, and give every child a place to belong. He always made time, offered encouragement, covered a snack stand tab when needed, and quietly helped children and families without ever seeking recognition. His knowledge, leadership, and willingness to help others made him a respected figure throughout New York City's baseball community and beyond.
