2021 PONY World Series Champions Jerseys

BASEBALL



Mustang-9 (Orange, California)

Orange, California won the World Series in dominating fashion over Placentia, California, putting double digit runs up on the board for a 16-6 win. Andrew Waibel from Orange, CA was the Batting Champion from the tournament and set several Mustang-9 records, including his impressive .800 average in 19 plate appearances.

Mustang (Simi Valley, California)

Simi Valley sat on a lead that they established early on in the game to defeat Winter Park Optimist, 4-2. Simi Valley's Sawyer Jackson had an impressive outing on the mound, allowing only four hits and one run, striking out three and only walking one.

Bronco-11 (Tecolote, California)

The Telecote All Stars gained a lead early, and never looked back, winning 16-1 over Laredo, Texas. Telecote tallied 14 total hits, with tournament batting champion, Nolan Brown, having multiple hits in the championship game.

Pony-13 (San Jose (PAL), California)

Without losing a single game in the World Series, San Jose PAL emerged victorious over La Quinta, CA, 5-1.  Nicolaus Owsley led the San Jose PAL bats with two hits in three at bats.

Brownsville got to their PONY World Series Championship in one of the toughest ways possible, fighting their way through the loser's bracket after dropping the second game of the World Series. Ruben Lopez had an impressive day at the plate, going 3 for 5 with a three run homerun, en route to their close 11-10 victory to Youngstown, Ohio.

Colt (Marion, Illinois)

Marion repeated as Colt World Series Champions after their 7-1 victory over Brownsville, Texas. Charlie Hunter went the distance on the mound for Marion, allowing just one run in a complete game effort.

Palomino (Co-Champions: Puerto Rico & Youngstown, OH)

For the first time in Palomino World Series history, there were co-champions due to inclement weather and teams having to leave the next day. Both teams went 3-0.

Puerto Rico's  Abdier Aiyala led his team in batting average with a .750 average. Jorge Rivera led the team with an ERA of 0.00 with the most innings pitched.

Youngstown, Ohio's Joseph Roth went 5 for 5 in the tournament while Tyler Kamerer went 12 for 14. Gage Gilliot and Ethan Edkins led the team with a 2.333 ERA.

Mustang-9 World Series (Walnut, California)

San Diego's (Tecolote) first time participating in the Mustang-9 World Series was a success, winning the World Series. 

Mustang World Series (Youngsville, Louisiana)

Placenta, California has been successful in the two times they have appeared in the Mustang World series. They were runners-up in 2018 and took home the championship in 2019.

Bronco-11 World Series (Chesterfield, Virginia)

The Redondo Sunset were able to win the Mustang-11 World Series in their first World Series appearance.

Bronco World Series (Laredo, Texas)

With a win in 2019, Tai-Tung, Chinese Taipei has won four Mustang World Series in their six appearances.

Pony-13 World Series (Whittier, California)


Hilo, Hawaii's first appearance in the Pony-13 World Series was a success.

Colt World Series (Marion, Illinois)

First appearing in 2018, Southern Illinois won the Colt World Series in their second appearance in 2019.

Palomino World Series (Laredo, Texas)

Taoyuan County, Chinese Taipei won their third Palomino World Series in 2019 in just four appearances.

Mustang-9 World Series (Walnut, California)

Los Alamitos, California's Gram Ludwig shined in the championship game of the Mustang-9 World Series, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs, a double and a run scored. It was Los Alamitos' first Mustang-9 World Series title.

Mustang World Series (Youngsville, Louisiana)

Zachary Rogozik had a monster day for Mustang World Series champion Santa Clarita (Wm. S. Hart), California in its first game vs. Youngsville. The youngster went 3-for-3 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Hart won its record-tying fifth Mustang World Series title in 2017.

Bronco-11 World Series (Chesterfield, Virginia)

Zion Rose was incredible for his Chicago (AFCA Elite), Illinois squad at the 2017 Bronco-11 World Series. Not only did he pick up the win and pitch a complete game in his team's semifinal victory over Mexico, but he also hit five HRs in the tournament, including a pivotal three-run homer in the championship game against Simi Valley, California.

Bronco World Series (Los Alamitos, California)

Jose Rosa was a hitting machine for Bronco World Series Champion Levittown, Puerto Rico. In four games, he recorded eight hits (six of which were HRs), 15 RBI and 10 runs scored. Levittown's title gave Puerto Rico the most Bronco World Series championships of any U.S. state or international country.

Pony-13 World Series (Whittier, California)

Ru Taek was sensational for his Seoul, Korea team at the Pony-13 World Series, both at the plate and on the base paths. In Taek's first two games, he went 5-for-7 with three RBI & four runs scored. In his next two games vs. Perris, California, he knocked a three-RBI triple and a grandslam, respectively, and in the championship game, he scored a valuable insurance run, while adding his third triple of the tournament. Seoul won the nation of Korea & the Asia-Pacific Zone its first-ever Pony-13 World Series title.

Pony World Series (Washington, Pennsylvania)

Covina, California's James Jimenez had one for the ages in the championship game of the Pony World Series against Seoul, Korea. Not only did he pitch seven innings of one run ball with nine Ks, but he gave Covina a 3-1 lead it would not relinquish in the 8th inning when he knocked a two-run homerun over the centerfield fence.

Colt World Series (Lafayette, Indiana)

First-time Colt World Series participant and European Zone Champion the Netherlands blazed through its competition in Lafayette, Indiana, marking the first time a team from PONY's European Zone had ever won a World Series event. It was certainly a historic year for the Dutch.

Palomino World Series (Santa Clara, California)


Los Gatos, California etched its name in the PONY record books with its first-ever Palomino World Series title in the 38th year of the event, after defeating Santa Clara (Soldiers), California in the championship game 8-5.


SOFTBALL

East Zone Softball Nationals (12U) (Sterling, Virginia)

A cornerstone for the Horsham, Pennsylvania Banshee's offense, Sofia Peterson electrified her team's offense in the championship game of the Bronco 12U East Zone Girls Softball Nationals by going 2-for-3 with five RBIs and two runs scored.

East Zone Softball Nationals (18U) (Sterling, Virginia)

East Bridgewater, Massachusetts' Drifters' Cassie Graca started off the Palomino 18U East Zone Girls Softball championship game with a bang -- a double to centerfield that eventually led to her scoring the first run in her team's 10-run rule victory. Graca also walked and scored another run in the win.
